Hurricane Katrina and the incredible damage it caused on the Gulf Coast of the southern United States, brought me from my home in southern Wisconsin to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, to help families there to rebuild their homes and lives.

After more than 25 years of previous charitable mission work trips to the southern United States to help families there, and then after Hurricane Katrina, making 8 week-long work trips down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast as a relief volunteer, I decided to come back to the Gulf Coast temporarily on a two year Personal Mission, where I am living, working and volunteering, of which I am now in the second year. It has been an amazing experience so far… with so much more to do. Founder: Samaritans Deeds Missions, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization.
