Hurricane Katrina and the incredible damage it caused on the Gulf Coast of the southern United States, brought me from my home in southern Wisconsin to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, to help families there to rebuild their homes and lives.

After more than 25 years of previous charitable mission work trips from southern Wisconsin to the southern United States to help disadvantaged families there, and then after Hurricane Katrina, making 8 week-long work trips down to the Mississippi Gulf Coast as a Hurricane Katrina relief volunteer, I decided to go back to the Gulf Coast temporarily on a two year Personal Mission to help families there to rebuild their homes and lives after Hatrina, where I lived, worked and volunteered, and which eventually turned into a personal mission lasting almost 3 years. It was an amazing experience… with so much more to do.
